After a 28 year military career, where I had the privilege of leading a broad range of teams spanning all levels of the organization, I decided to shift my focus to helping leaders grow. I wanted to help other leaders develop and grow so that they could excel in their current or future leadership roles.
Pursuing a path to help other leaders, I soon found myself teaching and designing leadership programs for global executives participating in executive education programs at the world renowned Kellogg School of Management. Through teaching on leadership topics and designing leadership programs, I have been able to help other leaders learn, think and reflect about their development as they continue to build their individual leadership capabilities.
While working in executive education, I pursued my interest in executive coaching—coaching was another way I could help other leaders. As a coach, I could help leaders build upon their strengths, overcome challenges, and prepare to successfully transition into new leadership roles.
Since then, I have embraced the profession of executive coaching and have continued to hone my skills by completing training with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and certification through the Center for Executive Coaching. As a coach, I focus solely on leadership and helping other leaders build the skills, competencies and behaviors that enable successful leadership today and in the future. This is at the heart of why I founded NL2 Executive Coaching.
